Luis Arroyo was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. While attending high school in San Antonio, Luis was involved in several pre-healthcare programs and athletics including tennis, cross-country, soccer and basketball.
After Graduating high school he attended the University of Texas at Austin where he obtained his bachelors of science human biology. He then spent time in research working in a Neuroimmunology lab at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX. Here Luis was involved in several published projects that investigated the benefits of using stem cells and nanoparticles as treatment for cancer and chemotherapy related side effects.
In 2020 Luis matriculated to the UT Southwestern physician assistant program and while on clinical rotations he found his interest in orthopedic medicine. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with family and his doberman Bexar, watching the Longhorns and Spurs, as well as staying active playing tennis, basketball, golf.
